ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

VIRTUES: 
According to his LER and what I continue to see in him
- He inherited his moms wide rear and his father's broad chest
- He has large, heavy, dense bone
- Head was described as: beautiful broad head, nice wide muzzle, bedroom eyes, good strong ears, good stop
-Body described as : perfect size for a Shiloh, straight backed with appropriate angulations, rear end very straight, top line nice, good compact feet, tail is on line and straight making it a nice standard saber set tail, and his croup is appropriately set with a good length
-Movement: His side gait is good and his reach/drive is very good

FAULTS: 
According to his LER at 8wks, like most Shilohs he needs a little more under bite. Other than that according to his LER there were no glaring faults. 

Argus is one of my most rounded dogs. He not only brings "Old Line Bulk" to the table; but to me even more important he brings a gentle, sweet, rock-solid, even temperament. Argus stands 29 ¼" and weighs 127lbs. According to my vet he's the perfect weight for his body build. He presents as a very formidable dog because of the width of body and brawn that his frame carries.

Argus definitely personifies the term "Gentle Giant." He seems to sense when someone needs hugs and will come over close to that person to give them some loving. He is extremely confident and sound, and will happily go with anyone that takes him by the leash for either a leisurely walk or to take him into the show ring. 

To me Argus is my dream Shiloh the "Perfect Package". He has brawn, intelligence, a gentle sweet spirit, and a gift for knowing just what I need or for that matter anyone that he's around needs.

All dogs are wonderful but Argus is just one of those very special dogs. If he were human I'd swear he was my soul mate. A few years ago I fell in 4' of snow and couldn't get up. Argus ran right back to me and laid next to me trying to keep me warm. He followed all my commands to help me up. I couldn't believe it. I grabbed onto his collar and told him to stand. I proceeded to pull myself up using him for support as I told him to walk forward. He did everything I asked him to and succeeded in helping me up. Once I was up he walked right next to me like a velcro dog so I wouldn't fall again. He was my hero that day and always will be. 

Do I believe Argus has a lot to offer the gene pool. Absolutely. If you are looking for all the qualities of the Old Style Shilohs; brawn, intelligence and gentle temperament then Argus is your boy. He's my gentle soul and love of my life.
